This package contains the scripts that Si2 uses to find and display
differences between the HTML files that comprise different OA releases.
The result of running the software in this package is an index page with
clickable links to OA API docs that are unique or have not changed, and
links to pages that display side-by-side comparisons of OA API doc pages
that have changed.
A new feature of this release is the ability to put the Si2 Delta icons
at the top of each latest-version OA API document page.
V1.1 Differs from V1.0 in that all of the clickable links are RELATIVE,
not absolute, paths. The diff process puts the results directly into the OA
Document tree. Once the delta process is complete, the document tree is
portable; the links should work if even if the tree is copied to another
If you have no write access to the OA API document tree, you MUST use
SAFETY TIP: Please make a copy of the doc tree to work in.
Si2 runs the scripts on SuSE Linux.
The scripts require the following software:
html2text - If you don't have this, you can get it at
diff - Should already be on your system.
php - Should already be on your system.
This version of the Si2 Delta utility puts the Si2 Delta Icons into the latest
version OA API documents, similar to the way the OA API docs are displayed online
All paths are now relative to an OA root directory, and the resulting HTML is
placed in a subdirectory of the latest OA release API docs.
